Role Description The AI Trainer role is a remote position focused on helping learners develop practical AI skills and workforce readiness. Day-to-day tasks include designing and delivering online lessons, guiding learners through projects, and providing feedback on assignments and model-building exercises. The AI Trainer will support learners during live sessions, office hours, and asynchronous communication channels, ensuring concepts are clearly explained and applied to real-world scenarios. The role also involves collaborating with the Outcome School team to refine curriculum materials, contribute to assessments, and align training content with current industry practices. This is a volunteer role with a flexible schedule, suitable for individuals who want to contribute to equitable access to high-growth tech careers.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in AI, machine learning, or data science, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
Experience with practical, project-based teaching, mentoring, or coaching, preferably with underserved or early-career learners.
Comfort with remote instruction tools, collaborative platforms, and managing interactions in online learning environments.
Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
Understanding of workforce readiness, including portfolios, interview preparation, and practical pathways into tech employment.
Relevant academic or professional background in technology or education (e.g., AI engineer, data scientist, educator); prior experience with curriculum development is a plus.
