About the Role
Shikha UV Metalizating LLP is looking for a responsible, technically strong and experienced Plastic Process & Production Engineer to manage our plastic injection moulding and fittings production operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for production planning, process parameters, mould trials, quality control, manpower management, rejection reduction, material control and smooth day-to-day factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily and monthly production planning.
Set and maintain injection moulding process parameters.
Optimize cycle time and production efficiency.
Troubleshoot flash, short shot, sink marks, warpage, colour variation and other moulding defects.
Conduct mould trials and establish proper process parameters.
Coordinate mould installation, changeovers, maintenance and repairs.
Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime.
Monitor product quality, rejection and rework.
Control raw-material consumption, wastage and regrind usage.
Manage operators, helpers, mould setters and fittings/assembly workers.
Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
Maintain discipline and productivity on the production floor.
Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams.
Daily Reporting
The candidate will be responsible for reporting:
Production target vs. actual production
Machine-wise production
Rejection and scrap
Machine/mould downtime
Material consumption
Manpower status
Major production problems
Corrective actions taken
Pending maintenance or production issues
Candidate Requirements
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Plastic / Polymer Engineering preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in plastic injection moulding.
Practical knowledge of injection moulding processes.
Knowledge of PP and other commonly used plastic materials.
Good understanding of injection moulding machines and moulds.
Knowledge of process parameters and troubleshooting.
Ability to identify and solve moulding defects.
Good team-management and problem-solving skills.
Salary & Growth
Starting Salary: ₹20,000 per month
Probation Period: 3 months
Performance will be reviewed after the probation period. Salary, responsibilities and position may be increased based on performance.
Working Hours
8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
This is a full-time, factory-based, hands-on position.
