Role Description This is a full-time Accountant role based in Ahmedabad, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and maintenance of general ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves supporting tax compliance, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as preparing reports and dashboards for management. The Accountant will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data, adherence to policies, and timely resolution of financial queries.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic auditing practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a team in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
