Lead Design Architect - 15+ years

Role Description The Lead Design Architect (15+ years) is a full-time position based in Mumbai or Pune. Responsiblities include leading architectural design from concept through detailed development for complex projects in Healthcare, Education, Commerical, Sports and Public Sector. This role includes assisting in preparing concept design, overseeing design teams, coordinating with structural, MEP, and interior consultants, and ensuring alignment of design intent with functional, regulatory, and budgetary requirements. The Lead Design Architect will guide preparation and review of construction drawings, design presentations, and technical documentation, while maintaining quality, timelines, and compliance with local codes and standards. Daily responsibilities involve client interactions, design reviews, mentoring junior architects, resolving design and site-related issues, and collaborating closely with project management and construction teams to ensure seamless execution. The role also requires contributing to firm-wide design standards, innovation initiatives, and best practices.
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; registration/ licensure from COA is preferred.
Strong expertise in Architectural Design and Architecture, with a track record of leading complex, large-scale projects.
Proficiency in Design Management, including team leadership, design coordination, and integration of multidisciplinary inputs.
Advanced skills in preparing, reviewing, and coordinating Construction Drawings and related technical documentation.
Excellent Communication skills for effective client interaction, consultant coordination, and internal team collaboration.
15+ years of professional experience in architecture, preferably with exposure to healthcare, hospitality, transportation, or complex engineering projects.
Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, and presentation software).
Deep understanding of building codes, local regulations, sustainability principles, and best practices in contemporary architecture.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver within time and quality parameters.
