About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Script Writer & Script Editor to create and refine engaging scripts for AI-generated micro-dramas, short-form videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other digital platforms.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, dialogue writing, character development, emotional pacing, and short-form content. You will be responsible for developing story ideas, writing scripts, editing and improving existing scripts, and ensuring that every story is engaging, clear, emotionally impactful, and suitable for visual production.
Key ResponsibilitiesScript Writing
Develop original and engaging concepts for AI micro-dramas and short-form video content.
Write scripts with strong hooks, storylines, dialogues, conflicts, emotional moments, and impactful endings.
Create stories across different genres such as romance, drama, thriller, horror, comedy, fantasy, and emotional stories.
Write scripts that are designed specifically for short attention spans and high viewer retention.
Develop relatable and interesting characters with clear personalities, motivations, and relationships.
Write natural, engaging, and context-appropriate dialogues.
Create strong opening hooks that capture the viewer's attention within the first few seconds.
Structure stories with proper scene progression, pacing, twists, climax, and resolution.
Adapt stories and concepts into formats suitable for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form platforms.
Script Editing
Review and edit scripts for story flow, pacing, grammar, dialogue, logic, and overall quality.
Identify weak scenes, unnecessary dialogue, plot gaps, inconsistencies, and areas that may reduce viewer engagement.
Improve scripts while maintaining the original creative intent.
Ensure character, visual, and narrative continuity throughout the story.
Rewrite scenes and dialogues wherever required to improve emotional impact and storytelling.
Ensure every scene has a clear purpose and contributes to the overall story.
Strengthen hooks, transitions, conflicts, twists, and endings based on creative requirements.
Edit scripts to make them clear and easy for the AI Prompt Engineering and Video Editing teams to understand and execute.
AI & Visual Storytelling
Understand how written scripts translate into AI-generated visuals and video scenes.
Write scene descriptions that clearly communicate characters, locations, actions, emotions, and visual requirements.
Identify potential visual inconsistencies or storytelling challenges before production.
Collaborate with AI Prompt Engineers to ensure scripts can be effectively converted into AI-generated scenes.
Maintain consistency in characters, locations, costumes, relationships, and story details across scenes.
Suggest visual storytelling elements that can improve the overall impact of the content.
Collaboration & Content Development
Work closely with AI Prompt Engineers, Video Editors, Script Editors, Creative Leads, and other content teams.
Take creative feedback and make necessary revisions within timelines.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for new stories, characters, formats, and content ideas.
Analyse existing content and identify opportunities to improve storytelling and audience retention.
Stay updated with short-form content trends, viral storytelling formats, audience preferences, and emerging content styles.
Study successful short-form videos and apply relevant storytelling techniques to new content.
Quality & Delivery
Ensure scripts are grammatically correct, well-structured, engaging, and production-ready.
Maintain consistency in tone, character behaviour, storyline, and dialogues.
Deliver assigned scripts and revisions within the required timelines.
Ensure all scripts meet the team's creative guidelines and content requirements.
Handle multiple scripts/projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and consistency.
Requirements
Strong creative writing and storytelling skills.
Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.
Experience in script writing, content writing, creative writing, storytelling, or script editing is preferred.
Strong understanding of short-form content and viewer retention.
Ability to write engaging dialogues and emotionally compelling stories.
Good understanding of character development and story structure.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
Ability to accept feedback and improve scripts accordingly.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly creative environment.
Interest in AI-generated content, AI video, micro-dramas, and digital storytelling will be an advantage.
