Role Description The Business Consultant role at OpsWired is a full-time remote position focused on advising clients on operational improvements, strategy, and financial performance. On a day-to-day basis, the Business Consultant will analyze business processes and data, identify opportunities for optimization, and develop actionable recommendations. This role includes preparing and delivering presentations, leading client meetings and workshops, and documenting findings and proposed solutions. The Business Consultant will collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams to implement changes, monitor results, and adjust strategies as needed. The position also involves staying informed on industry trends and best practices to provide relevant, up-to-date guidance.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, diagnose problems, and develop data-driven solutions.
Consulting and management consulting experience, with a track record of driving measurable business improvements.
Excellent communication skills, including clear written communication, confident presentation abilities, and stakeholder engagement.
Finance-related skills, such as understanding financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
Experience working in a remote environment, with effective time management, self-direction, and collaboration tools proficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools; ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Proficiency with productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Excel or other spreadsheets, presentation software, and collaboration platforms).
Demonstrated ability to build trust with clients, adapt to different organizational cultures, and maintain a professional, inclusive approach.
