IBM Senior developer

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Excellence Senior with strong expertise in enterprise integration, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE/IIB), IBM MQ, APIs, and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across integration projects, lead development teams, drive delivery excellence, and ensure high-quality solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards.
The role involves working with global teams and clients to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable integration solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) v11/v12.
Develop and maintain REST, SOAP, and event-driven integrations across enterprise applications.
Develop message flows, ESQL, Java Compute Nodes, Mapping Nodes, and reusable integration components.
Integrate applications using IBM MQ, JMS, HTTP/HTTPS, Kafka, File, FTP/SFTP, and database adapters.
Design robust exception handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter queue processing, and monitoring solutions.
Develop secure APIs and services following enterprise integration standards and security best practices.
Optimize integration solutions for high throughput, low latency, scalability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Participate in architecture and design discussions and provide technical recommendations.
Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment of ACE applications.
Create and maintain technical specifications, design documents, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development and integration standards.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to integration teams.
Collaborate with business, technical, and delivery teams across global engagements.
Define and improve delivery processes, quality standards, project metrics, and governance practices.
Support project audits, reviews, risk identification, and delivery excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of enterprise integration development experience.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with IBM ACE/IIB.
Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ.
Experience leading teams across at least 3 client engagements in a client-facing role.
Strong understanding of messaging patterns and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience integrating cloud and on-premises applications.
Strong experience developing secure APIs using OAuth2, JWT, TLS, and enterprise authentication mechanisms.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
IBM ACE Certification.
Experience with Kafka / Confluent Platform.
Experience integrating with Azure services.
