Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support product development activities in the Greater Bengaluru Area as part of a full-time, on-site role. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in mechanical design work, preparing and updating CAD models and drawings, and contributing to prototype development and testing. The intern will help perform basic engineering analyses, document findings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs based on feedback and test results. The role also involves supporting project coordination tasks, maintaining organized technical documentation, and participating in team meetings to contribute ideas and learn from ongoing programs in sectors such as mobility, aerospace, and healthcare.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and understanding of core concepts such as materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and the ability to create and revise 2D/3D models and engineering drawings.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and basic engineering calculations and simulations.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting technical work clearly.
Candidates should possess foundational Project Management abilities, including organizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and tracking progress on assigned work.
Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Interest in innovation-led sectors (e.g., aerospace, mobility, defence, healthcare) and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and collaborate in a diverse, inclusive team setting.
Familiarity with basic prototyping methods, testing procedures, and standard engineering tools is an advantage.
