About the Role
We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (Postgres DBA) to manage and support critical database environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration, cloud environments, database performance, high availability, replication, backup & recovery.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage PostgreSQL databases in production environments.
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching and maintenance.
Manage database schemas, partitioning, normalization and database standards.
Perform performance tuning and parameter tuning.
Manage storage, capacity planning and database health.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, replication and High Availability (HA) solutions.
Develop and maintain stored procedures using SQL/PL/pgSQL.
Work with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues and perform RCA.
Support 24×7 production database environments and critical incidents.
Work closely with application, infrastructure and DevOps teams.
Manage databases across AWS and Azure cloud environments.
🛠️ Must-Have Skills
5–7 years of overall database administration experience.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience.
Strong PostgreSQL administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in HA, replication, backup & recovery.
Strong knowledge of performance and parameter tuning.
Hands-on experience with Linux and shell scripting.
Strong experience with AWS and Azure.
Experience supporting 24×7 production database environments.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Experience with one or more of:
Oracle | DB2 | MS-SQL | ClickHouse | Neo4j
