Role/Team overview
Sky Data brings data and analytics capabilities into one place, building expertise that supports Sky and OTT businesses across Europe to keep data safe, trusted and usable. We partner with teams across the business to create innovative data products that improve Sky and bring value to our customers.
As a Data & Information Management Senior Analyst, reporting to the Data & Information Management Lead, you’ll help expand our mission to unlock further value from unstructured data while managing the new data and information risks presented by AI. The role can be based in Osterley or Livingston Watermark.
What you’ll do
Develop enterprise data standards – support the Data & Information Management Lead in designing frameworks and operating models for Data Governance and Data & Information Management, aligned with wider Comcast and Sky Group initiatives.
Deliver data management controls – bring subject matter and tooling expertise to help stakeholders and data role holders' author and document AI-ready controls, including data quality and data cataloguing.
Develop practical ownership and governance models – create frameworks for organising data domains, embed ownership standards with data and system owners, and develop ways to monitor and report control effectiveness.
Drive the embedding of data controls – work with business and technical subject-matter experts to implement AI-ready data and information management controls based on prioritised risks, use cases and data products.
Lead end-to-end control implementation – partner with data role holders, business and engineering teams to implement controls across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data throughout the information lifecycle.
Drive best practice and innovation – stay informed about emerging trends, advocate for good data and information management practices, and support colleagues in adopting strategic tooling and assets.
What you’ll bring
Essential criteria:
Demonstrated expertise across data management and data governance, including data ownership, data quality, metadata management, data lineage and data cataloguing.
Proficiency with data management and data governance technologies and tooling.
Experience supporting the design and implementation of Data & Information Management and Data Governance frameworks, operating models and processes.
Demonstrable experience applying data controls within engineering and technical processes.
A strong record of initiating, delivering and maintaining data-related initiatives, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at different organisational levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with careful attention to detail when implementing policies and frameworks.
Desirable skills and experience:
Practical experience with AI-driven data management or governance tooling, such as Anomalo or Atlan.
An active interest in continuous leaning, improvement, innovation, and new technologies.
SQL, Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, etc
Exposure to delivery Agile ways of working using JIRA, etc

How you’ll work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are currently 2 days in the office per week.
Your office base
Osterley: Our Sky Group HQ. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and workspaces, there’s plenty of space to see your big ideas come to life. Here you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants and cafes. You can re-energise at our gym, catch the latest films at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon. Our Osterley Campus is just a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station, or you can get one of our free shuttle buses from Osterley, Gunnersbury and Ealing Broadway stations. Plus, there’s free onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

Livingston Watermark: Sky Watermark is our central site for Livingston, sitting between Glasgow and Edinburgh. With vibrant office spaces, chill-out areas and an onsite canteen, it’s a great place to work and connect. The nearest train station is Livingston North. A Sky shuttle bus runs between the station and campus every 20 minutes throughout the day. Plus, there’s onsite parking available for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
