Marketplace Ads Manager

Primary Responsibilities
· Own day-to-day marketplace advertising accounts: launch, monitor, optimize, and scale PLA, PCA, sponsored product, and equivalent marketplace ad campaigns.
· Create campaign structures, conduct keyword and search-term analysis, optimize bids, and allocate budgets against performance goals.
· Build media plans and monthly / campaign budgets based on brand objectives, category context, and available spend.
· Track product-level and brand-level performance; translate performance data into clear, actionable recommendations.
· Prepare regular client reporting and dashboard updates, including performance insights, next steps, and growth opportunities.
· Manage client communication confidently; build trust, resolve performance questions, and support account retention.
· Use consultative sales skills to identify, pitch, and close relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities, including additional ad spend and campaign initiatives.
· Partner with internal sales / account teams to activate new brands and maintain high-quality account operations.

· % GMV contribution from advertising
· ROAS and efficiency of budget deployment
· Activation rate for assigned accounts
· Number and health of active advertising accounts
Mandatory Experience & Skills
· Hands-on marketplace advertising experience is mandatory - Flipkart Ads (PLA, PCA, sponsored product formats), Myntra Ads, AJIO Ads, or equivalent advertising formats on other e-commerce or quick-commerce marketplaces.
· Experience creating and optimizing campaigns, including bids, budgets, keywords, and search terms.
· Working understanding of ROAS, ad spend, GMV contribution, product-level performance, and brand-level strategy.
· Ability to build media plans, prepare spend recommendations, and present performance clearly to clients.
· Comfort owning accounts independently while collaborating with a senior account manager or sales leader.
· Basic working proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; strong analytical hygiene matters more than advanced formulas.
· Confident, effective spoken and written English and Hindi; able to explain performance, influence decisions, and handle client conversations professionally.
· Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to position value, upsell, and cross-sell advertising solutions.
Good to Have
· Experience across more than one marketplace, especially both e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
· Quick-commerce advertising experience in addition to e-commerce marketplace experience.
· Experience working with multiple retail / marketplace brands in an agency, aggregator, or platform environment.
· Exposure to client upselling, media-plan recommendations, and account-growth conversations.
