Why We Have This Role
This role focuses on manufacturing, operations, and quality improvement. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll partner with Operations, Engineering, and Purchasing on projects centered around continuous improvement and compliance. You’ll report to the Production Manager of the Optical Filters business unit.
Candidate Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant major
- Up to 5% travel required
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Experience operating 3D printers
Key Responsibilities
- Help drive projects to completion by following up on deliverables
- Apply technical knowledge to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various technical processes
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to solve complex problems
