Manufacturing Automation Engineering Intern
💰 Compensation: $34–$42/hour
About the Role
This role focuses on manufacturing, automation, and engineering systems. You’ll support the manufacturing and integration teams working on Terran R and the Aeon R engine.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop tooling to support manufacturing and integration teams
- Work across multiple teams to define requirements and timelines
- Help drive design decisions and obtain stakeholder approval
- Support automation and manufacturing projects from concept through implementation
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong fundamentals in DC, AC, and motor circuits
- Knowledge of programming, including Python, C++, or OpenPLC
- Understanding of Boolean logic
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior aerospace experience is not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Extracurricular engineering project experience, such as Rocket Team, Formula SAE, Baja, or similar
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), preferably Beckhoff
- Experience developing GUIs/HMIs
