Role Description
This remote Fund Manager Analyst internship role focuses on supporting the research and evaluation of mutual funds and ETFs. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will collect and analyze fund and portfolio data, assist in performance and risk assessments, and contribute to comparative fund studies and substitution analyses. The role includes preparing concise research summaries, contributing to internal reports and presentations, and helping refine methodologies for ranking and screening funds. The intern will collaborate with the research team, participate in discussions about investment insights, and apply quantitative and qualitative techniques to evaluate where funds can credibly compete in investor portfolios.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis and critical thinking applied to financial data.
Candidates should possess knowledge of investments and finance, with familiarity in portfolio concepts, risk/return, and capital markets.
Candidates should possess skills in investment management and equities, including an understanding of mutual funds, ETFs, and equity valuation basics.
Relevant skills such as proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, Python or R a plus), clear written communication, and attention to detail are beneficial.
Pursuit of or completion of a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is preferred; prior internship or project experience in investments or research is an advantage.
