Role Description
This remote Asset Management Analyst internship role focuses on supporting research and analysis related to funds, portfolios, and asset allocation. The intern will assist in gathering and organizing data on ETFs and mutual funds, performing analytical reviews, and helping evaluate fund substitution and relative performance. Day-to-day tasks include working with asset and IT asset data, preparing reports and summaries for internal use, and contributing to insights that support investors, advisors, and asset managers. The role also involves collaborating with team members through clear communication, documenting findings, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative data and derive clear insights.
Foundational knowledge of investments and asset management, including familiarity with ETFs and mutual funds.
Understanding of IT asset management concepts and comfort working with data tools or spreadsheets.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to present findings in a concise, structured manner.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Interest in empirical research, portfolio analysis, and the intersection of data and investment decisions.
Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or BI platforms) is beneficial but not required.
