About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at City Science. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing large datasets, deriving actionable insights, and supporting the development of innovative urban solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of smart city initiatives by utilizing cutting-edge data analysis techniques. The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including urban planners, software engineers, and environmental scientists, to ensure data-driven decision-making processes are effectively implemented across projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, preferably within urban planning, environmental science, or related sectors.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
Knowledge of GIS systems and spatial data analysis is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources related to urban infrastructure, environmental metrics, and citizen engagement.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and project managers to identify data needs and develop analytical models that support smart city initiatives.
Conduct spatial data analysis using GIS tools to support urban development projects and environmental assessments.
Assist in designing experiments and surveys to gather relevant data for ongoing and future projects.
Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and testing procedures.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science and urban technology to continuously improve analytical capabilities.
