Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Manager at Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd. The Sales Manager will oversee sales operations within an assigned territory or segment, including planning, executing, and monitoring sales strategies to achieve growth and revenue targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring sales teams and agents, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring consistent pipeline development through prospecting and relationship-building with individual and corporate clients. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders such as underwriting, customer service, and claims teams to provide seamless customer experiences and resolve issues promptly. The Sales Manager will also analyze market trends, prepare regular sales reports, support digital and bancassurance channels, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including experience in target-driven environments, lead generation, and client relationship management.
Team leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in coaching, motivating, and performance-managing sales representatives or agents.
Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle escalations, deliver clear presentations, and maintain a customer-centric approach.
Analytical and planning skills, including proficiency in using sales reports, KPIs, and market data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, and familiarity with online sales channels and remote collaboration tools.
Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or healthcare domains is highly beneficial, especially in health insurance or related products.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications in insurance or sales management are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating self-motivation, time management, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
