Role Description The Agency Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mahbubabad, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing insurance agents, ensuring they are equipped to sell Star Health’s products effectively and ethically. Day-to-day tasks include driving sales through agency channels, monitoring performance metrics, conducting regular training sessions, and providing coaching and support to agents to achieve business targets. The role also involves planning local market development activities, building strong relationships with customers, agents, and branch teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Agency Development Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sales strategies, enhance customer service standards, and contribute to overall branch growth.
Qualifications
Proven skills in agency development, sales management, and field team coaching to drive performance and business growth.
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities to work effectively with agents, customers, and internal teams.
Solid understanding of insurance products and market dynamics, preferably in health or general insurance.
Competence in basic data analysis, reporting, and use of digital tools or CRM systems to track performance and manage workflows.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct training and motivate diverse teams.
Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance are an advantage.
Previous experience in insurance sales, agency development, or financial services distribution is highly desirable.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage field travel within Mahbubabad and surrounding areas, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven setting.
