Role Description The Quality Assurance Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The engineer will design, document, and execute test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual testing, identifying defects, reproducing issues, and collaborating with developers or clients to clarify requirements and improve product quality. The role also involves maintaining test documentation, tracking issues to resolution, and contributing to process improvements and testing best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Test Execution and Test Cases, with the ability to plan, design, and run structured tests.
Candidates should possess core Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, including familiarity with testing methodologies and defect life cycles.
Candidates should possess solid Manual Testing experience, including hands-on validation of user interfaces, workflows, and functional requirements.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to identify, document, and track defects effectively.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in QA or software testing.
Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English, work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with basic test management or bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and an understanding of SDLC or agile development practices is beneficial.
