About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong life sciences or pharma background to work with business and technology teams on R&D-focused initiatives. You will translate complex scientific and business needs into clear requirements and help deliver solutions that support research and development workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with R&D, clinical, regulatory, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
Conduct gap analysis and recommend process and system improvements
Support the delivery of R&D systems and data initiatives from requirements through UAT and go-live
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and sprint ceremonies
Work closely with developers, data teams, and QA to make sure solutions meet business needs
Maintain clear documentation and communicate status, risks, and dependencies
Required Qualifications
10-12 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Strong background in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry
Proven experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation
Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Life Science R&D background (drug discovery, clinical development, laboratory, or research operations)
Familiarity with GxP, FDA/Health Canada regulatory requirements, or computer system validation
Experience with R&D platforms such as LIMS, ELN, CTMS, or similar systems
Experience with data analysis, SQL, or reporting tools
Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
