About the Role
El gordo y el flaco. Podcast de golf is seeking an experienced Vice President of Corporate Development to lead financial growth initiatives, strategic investments, and corporate expansion opportunities.
This executive will work closely with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, develop financial strategies, and identify potential acquisitions and partnerships that support long-term business value.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A, financial modeling, and strategic investment management, with a strong track record of executing complex financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company's corporate development and investment strategy.
Identify and evaluate potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investment opportunities.
Lead financial due diligence, business valuation, and transaction analysis.
Build financial models to assess investment returns, profitability, and financial risks.
Evaluate capital requirements, financing options, and investment structures.
Partner with Finance on capital allocation, financial forecasting, and long-term planning.
Lead negotiations and coordinate transaction execution with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to diversify revenue and improve long-term financial performance.
Evaluate potential investments and partnerships across media, digital platforms, and financial technology.
Develop business cases and financial recommendations for new growth initiatives.
Oversee post-investment performance tracking and financial integration planning.
Maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and strategic partners.
Present transaction opportunities and investment recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or related financial functions.
6+ years of senior leadership experience in corporate development, M&A, or strategic investments.
Among the candidate's two most recent positions, at least one must demonstrate 6+ years of continuous tenure with the same organization.
Proven experience evaluating and executing acquisitions, strategic investments, or complex financial transactions.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, business valuation, and investment analysis.
Experience with financial due diligence, deal structuring, and capital allocation.
Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, investment returns, and financial risk.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex transactions and manage executive-level stakeholders.
Experience in digital media, technology, financial services, or investment-driven businesses preferred.
Strong analytical judgment, executive communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration required; MBA or CFA preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Proposed Base Salary: $220,000–$290,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and executive responsibilities.
Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, transaction-based incentives, long-term incentives, and company benefits, subject to the approved compensation package.
