Role Description The Solutions Engineer role at DBByte is a full-time, remote position focused on helping customers design and implement effective data infrastructure solutions using DBByte’s platform. On a day-to-day basis, this role collaborates with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements, conducts technical discovery, and designs architectures that leverage DBByte’s storage and content delivery capabilities. The Solutions Engineer prepares and delivers technical demos, proofs of concept, and implementation plans, while guiding customers through integration and onboarding. Responsibilities include solving complex performance and scalability challenges, documenting best practices, and providing feedback to internal teams to improve products and customer experience. This role also supports presales activities by translating technical features into practical business outcomes and ensuring smooth handoffs into post-sales delivery.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development skills, including experience with modern programming languages and building distributed or cloud-based applications.
Consulting abilities to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Sales and Presales skills to support technical evaluations, demos, proofs of concept, and solution presentations in collaboration with account teams.
Integration experience, including working with APIs, SDKs, web services, and data pipelines to connect platforms and applications.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and concepts such as object storage, CDN, caching, and performance optimization.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, with a practical approach to performance, scalability, and reliability.
Effective remote collaboration skills, including time management, documentation, and proactive communication in distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in technical solution roles.
