Senior Cloud Engineer
Tech Stack: Go, AWS, AWS CDK, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Kinesis, S3, CloudFront, IoT Core, MQTT, WebSockets, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, IAM, KMS.
Role: Build and maintain cloud backend services for a connected robotics platform. Own end-to-end development of APIs, real-time device-to-mobile communication, event-driven data pipelines, data modeling, infrastructure deployment, and production observability.
Required:
6+ years of production cloud backend development experience.
Strong hands-on Go experience or deep expertise in another statically typed language with willingness to work in Go.
Strong AWS experience across Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and S3.
DynamoDB data modeling, key/index design, cost optimization, and consistency trade-offs.
Event-driven architecture, stream processing, and reliable data delivery.
API design, versioning, and backward compatibility for mobile clients.
Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS CDK.
IAM, KMS, least-privilege security, testing, and production troubleshooting.
Preferred:
IoT Core, MQTT, connected-device backends, and robotics platforms.
WebSocket APIs, real-time messaging, device telemetry, and event fan-out.
OpenSearch, APNs/FCM push notifications, and multi-region replication.
Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry, on-call operations, and runbooks.
Protobuf or other large/binary payload handling.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
Key Screening Priority: Strong AWS backend engineering, Go or transferable statically typed language experience, DynamoDB, event-driven architecture, and API compatibility. IoT/robotics experience is an advantage, not a mandatory requirement.
