Role Description The Developer role is a full-time, remote position open to candidates based in the Philippines, working on a U.S.-based schedule. The Developer will design, build, test, and maintain software applications that support client business goals and internal initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with consultants, designers, and other developers to deliver robust solutions. The role also involves participating in requirement gathering, estimating tasks, improving existing systems, and ensuring that all deliverables align with project timelines and quality standards. The Developer is expected to contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting technical enhancements, sharing best practices, and staying current with emerging tools and frameworks.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar) and experience with common frameworks or libraries.
Solid understanding of web application development, including front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end services or APIs.
Experience with databases (relational or NoSQL), basic query optimization, and data modeling concepts.
Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code reviews, and testing methodologies.
Ability to analyze requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document designs and implementations clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to debug and resolve issues in a structured and efficient manner.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple tasks or projects with minimal supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with SMBs or in a consulting environment, and familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies, is an advantage.
