About the Role:
We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to manage third-party manufacturers (3Ps), production scheduling, material planning, and commercial negotiations. The role involves close collaboration with Demand Planning, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Finance, and 3P partners to deliver service, inventory, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
📦 Convert demand forecasts into monthly production schedules and SKU-wise weekly sequencing
🏭 Issue production plans to 3Ps, monitor adherence, and drive recovery actions
⚖️ Balance production requirements against capacity, MOQs, and component availability
🛒 Translate production plans into raw material & packaging requirements
📊 Track inventory, open POs, and escalate shortage risks
🤝 Partner with Marketing, R&D, and Quality for NPD projects
🔍 Identify, evaluate, and onboard 3Ps based on capability and compliance
💰 Negotiate conversion costs, MOQs, payment terms, and contracts with 3Ps
📈 Lead cost-saving and productivity targets through detailed cost models
📦 Source packaging components – bottles, caps, pumps, labels, cartons
🔄 Develop alternate sources for critical and single-source components
Requirements:
✅ Bachelor's in Engineering / Science (Chemistry) / Supply Chain – Mandatory
✅ MBA/PG in Supply Chain, Operations, or Finance – an advantage
✅ 5+ years in sourcing, production planning, procurement, or 3P manufacturing (FMCG / Personal Care / Cosmetics)
✅ Experience in talcum powder, personal care, or fragrances preferred
✅ Proven experience in production scheduling and 3P coordination
✅ Experience in NPD sourcing, contract manufacturing, and commercial negotiation
✅ Strong understanding of demand conversion, inventory norms, and supplier capacity planning
✅ Exposure to vendor audits and supplier performance management
