Role Description The Senior Architect will lead end-to-end architectural design and planning for residential and emerging commercial projects at Vastu Vihar’s Bodh Gaya location. This full-time, on-site role involves developing conceptual and detailed designs, preparing drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and local regulations. The Senior Architect will coordinate with engineering, construction, and vendor teams, oversee design reviews, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. The role includes managing project timelines, monitoring quality, optimizing materials and technologies, and conducting site visits to resolve design and execution issues. The Senior Architect will also mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical, aesthetic, and sustainable solutions.
Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of multiple projects within time and budget constraints.
Knowledge of Integration between architectural design, structural engineering, MEP systems, and construction practices to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Familiarity with Software Development concepts or digital tools as applied to architecture (e.g., BIM, CAD, design collaboration platforms) for efficient design and documentation.
Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional registration/licensure is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial building projects, preferably in high-volume or multi-city development environments.
Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior architects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
