About the Role
Vastu Vihar (Technoculture Building Centre Pvt. Ltd.) is looking for a Structural Engineer to analyse, design, and detail structural systems for residential and commercial building projects. You will work with the architecture, MEP, and site teams to deliver safe, economical, code-compliant structural designs and drawings.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out structural analysis and design of RCC buildings (low-rise to mid-rise) for gravity, wind, and seismic loads.
Model and analyse structures in ETABS and STAAD Pro V8i, and interpret the results.
Design foundations (isolated, combined, strip, raft, and pile where applicable) using SAFE and prepare the foundation design reports from CSI SAFE results.
Design and detail beams, columns, slabs, shear walls, and staircases, using RCDC for reinforcement detailing and drawing generation.
Prepare structural drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and design calculation reports.
Review architectural drawings and coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, and site engineers to resolve structural conflicts early.
Ensure designs comply with relevant Indian Standards (IS 456, IS 1893, IS 875, IS 13920, IS 800, SP 34, etc.).
Estimate quantities of concrete and steel and support value engineering to optimise material use.
Provide technical support to the site team, respond to RFIs, and inspect structural work when required.
Review and verify drawings and calculations prepared by junior engineers or draftsmen.
Maintain organised project documentation and revision records.
Required Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred).
3-4 years of relevant experience in structural design of buildings
Technical Skills
Area Requirement
Analysis & design ETABS, STAAD Pro V8i (hands-on, project-level experience)
Foundation design SAFE, with the ability to read and present CSI SAFE results
Detailing RCDC for beams, columns, slabs, and footings
Drafting Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and checking drawings
Codes Strong command of IS 456, IS 1893, IS 875, IS 13920
Office tools MS Excel and Word for calculations and reports
