Role Description The Electronics Design & Hardware Engineer Intern/PPO will support the design, development, and testing of electronic systems used in underwater robotic platforms. This internship role is on-site and based in Bengaluru, where the intern will work closely with engineering teams to create and refine circuit designs, prototype hardware modules, and assist in integrating electronics with mechanical and software subsystems. Day-to-day responsibilities include schematic design, basic PCB layout support, component selection, laboratory testing, troubleshooting hardware issues, and documenting designs and test results. The intern will also contribute to improving system reliability and performance by analyzing data from field deployments and participating in design reviews. This role offers potential for a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) based on performance and business needs.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electronic Engineering and Electronics, with the ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical hardware design.
Hands-on skills in Circuit Design, including schematic creation, basic PCB layout understanding, and component selection.
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to power distribution, signal integrity, and safety in embedded systems.
Understanding of Analog electronics, including amplifiers, filters, and sensor interfacing for real-world measurement applications.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Familiarity with electronic design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, LTspice or similar) is beneficial.
Basic experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and instrumentation for testing and validation is an advantage.
Ability to work safely in lab and field environments, with attention to detail, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving.
Effective communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.
