Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior DBA / Database Engineering Lead responsible for administration, performance, availability, security, backup/recovery, and production support of PostgreSQL, MongoDB , Oracle databases across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases across Development, UAT, Production, and DR environments.
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Ensure high availability, replication, failover, backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery for critical databases.
Perform database and SQL/query performance tuning, indexing, execution-plan analysis, and workload optimization.
Manage database users, roles, privileges, authentication, security, and audit requirements.
Handle database migrations, version upgrades, schema changes, and production releases.
Provide L2/L3 production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Develop and maintain database backup/recovery strategies and regularly validate recovery procedures.
Work with Development, Application, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Data Engineering teams to resolve database-related issues.
Monitor database health, CPU, memory, storage, I/O, connections, locks, and overall performance.
Support vulnerability remediation, security patching, compliance, and database hardening.
Maintain database SOPs, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and DR documentation.
