About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

PCB Designer - SoC & Camera-Sensor Boards
Company Description
Akai Space Labs builds sensor-stack for physical AI data and deployment, providing egocentric capture hardware and multimodal pipelines that turn real-world experiences into training data for robotics foundation models.
Role Description
We’re looking for an experienced PCB Designer to develop custom boards for our egocentric capture hardware. The project involves a soc with multiple camera sensors, followed by a smaller production version after validation.
You will own PCB design, high-speed routing, stackup definition, fabrication handoff, and first-spin support.
Responsibilities
Design soc boards with power rails, connectors, clocks, and high-speed interfaces.
Route multiple MIPI CSI-2 camera interfaces with appropriate impedance control, length matching, and reference planes.
Design camera integration using on-board sensors or FPC-connected sensor boards.
Define manufacturable stackups and deliver complete fabrication and assembly packages.
Support initial board bring-up and subsequent revisions.
Qualifications
Proven experience with PCBs that have been fabricated and successfully brought up.
Hands-on experience routing MIPI CSI-2 or comparable high-speed differential interfaces.
Strong understanding of signal integrity, stackups, BGA fanout, and power distribution.
Experience with compute-module carriers or dense SoC boards.
Familiarity with KiCad or Altium Designer.
FPC camera integration and compact-board design experience are a plus.
Compensation
₹1-1.5 lakh per month, depending on experience and fit.
How to Apply
Please share, along with your resume:
Two routed boards: Layer count, interface, your contribution, fabrication house, and bring-up status.
One MIPI CSI-2 example: Stackup and length-matching rules used.
Availability: Your earliest start date and estimated weeks to a fabrication-ready package after the board outline and power limit are frozen.
