Role Description
The User Experience Analyst internship at PortfolioFuture is a remote role focused on understanding and improving how users interact with the company’s research tools and insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting user and UX research, mapping user journeys, and gathering feedback through interviews, surveys, and usability tests. The intern will analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify pain points, usability issues, and opportunities to enhance product workflows. They will apply design thinking to propose and refine experience improvements, collaborate with product and design team members, and help document insights and recommendations. This internship is suitable for individuals seeking hands-on experience in user-centered research and experience analysis in a data-driven, financial technology context.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills to interpret user data, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Experience or coursework in user research and UX research, including methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
Familiarity with design thinking and user-centered design principles to frame problems and propose experience improvements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to present research findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Comfort working remotely, with strong time management, organization, and collaboration skills.
Interest in financial services, investment research, or data-driven products; prior exposure to ETFs, mutual funds, or portfolio analysis is a plus.
Proficiency with basic UX tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, or similar) and data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets); experience with analytics platforms is beneficial.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in fields such as Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Business, Data Science, or related disciplines.
