Role Description
This is a remote internship role for an Investment Writer at PortfolioFuture. The Investment Writer intern will support the research and content teams by transforming complex fund and portfolio analysis into clear, accurate, and engaging written materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting articles, reports, and briefs on ETFs, mutual funds, and portfolio construction; summarizing empirical research; and creating content that helps investors and advisors evaluate fund alternatives. The role also involves fact-checking data, aligning content with the company’s independent research standards, and assisting in content planning for digital and client-facing materials. The intern will collaborate with researchers and senior writers, learn how to communicate advanced investment concepts, and contribute to the company’s public and private content library.
Qualifications
Strong investment writing and research skills, with the ability to explain quantitative and empirical findings in clear language.
Ability to analyze ETFs, mutual funds, and portfolio construction concepts, including performance, risk, and factor exposures.
Competence in drafting and editing articles, briefs, and reports with attention to accuracy, structure, and style.
Comfort working with data from financial databases or spreadsheets and summarizing key insights for non-expert audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
Interest in financial markets, investment products, and evidence-based portfolio analysis.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
Currently pursuing or having completed studies in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or related field; coursework in investments or portfolio management is beneficial.
Prior experience in financial writing, blogging, research assistance, or technical documentation is a plus but not required.
