Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Web Application Developer. The person in this role will design, build, and maintain scalable web applications that leverage DBByte’s data infrastructure platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing back-end services, implementing secure and efficient APIs, and integrating data storage and content delivery solutions into application architectures. The Senior Web Application Developer will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, improve performance, and ensure reliability across the stack. Additional duties include code reviews, mentoring less experienced developers, contributing to technical documentation, and participating in architecture and roadmap discussions.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Web Application Development and building production-grade Web Applications.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including modern frameworks and tooling.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their practical application in large codebases.
Experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient web architectures that integrate with cloud-based storage and content delivery solutions.
Comfort working with APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and performance optimization techniques.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code, conduct thorough code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Experience collaborating in remote, cross-functional teams with strong communication and documentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in senior or lead developer roles is preferred.
