Head Product Strategy

Role Description The Head of Product Strategy is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and leading product direction across Blue River Equity’s portfolio. This role involves developing and maintaining a product vision and roadmap, aligning product initiatives with investment theses and market opportunities, and partnering with executive and investment teams to drive growth. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and competitive research, analyzing product performance, guiding product management and development efforts, and translating insights into actionable strategies. The individual will provide thought leadership on product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market approaches, while establishing standards and frameworks that portfolio teams can adopt. This role also includes mentoring product leaders, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and presenting strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and portfolio company leadership.
Qualifications
Strong Product Strategy skills, including defining product vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities.
Excellent Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret data, assess performance, and support evidence-based decisions.
Proven experience in Product Management, including lifecycle ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
Advanced Research capabilities for market, customer, and competitive analysis.
Hands-on experience in Product Development, working closely with engineering, design, and operations teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a senior product or strategy role, preferably in an investment, technology, or SaaS environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and diverse teams.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, managing multiple initiatives and time zones.
