ABOUT HEKAYA
HEKAYA is Morocco's first vertical drama platform. We produce short-form series in Darija, in 9:16, and distribute them through our own iOS and Android app. Our catalogue counts around 900 episodes, with a new series released every week.
THE MISSION
We are building an AI Creative Lab, and you will be its first creative. Your job: conceive, generate, edit and deliver 15 to 60 second AI video ads that stop the scroll and make people want to watch our series. Our benchmark is the best advertising from the leading international short drama platforms: betrayal, humiliation, revenge, family conflict, shocking reveals, all within the first three seconds.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop ad concepts and hooks built on immediate dramatic conflict, cliffhangers and twists
- Generate cinematic scenes with realistic, consistent AI characters, natural dialogue and lip sync
- Edit for vertical: pacing, sound design, dynamic subtitles
- Produce variants for A/B testing on Meta and TikTok, and iterate based on creative performance data
- Help shape the tools, workflows and standards of the Lab
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Fluent Darija (Moroccan Arabic) is required: our hooks are written and performed in Darija
- Proven mastery of AI video tools (Kling, Higgsfield, Veo, Runway or equivalent)
- Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve)
- A storyteller's instinct: you understand why a hook works, emotionally
- Working knowledge of paid social creative: first seconds, hook rate, hold rate, variant testing
- Autonomy: you bring your own ideas and deliver ads ready to run
We are not looking for a video editor only, or for someone who only generates beautiful images. We want one creative who can go from idea to finished ad.
HOW TO APPLY (PORTFOLIO REQUIRED)
Send at least three AI video pieces you personally created, with a short note on your exact role and the tools used. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed. A great portfolio matters more to us than a degree or a prestigious CV.
TERMS
Fully remote, from anywhere. Open to experienced freelancers and long-term collaborations, with possible permanent integration. Compensation is based on experience, portfolio quality and production capacity.
