About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Company Description DBByte is a modern data infrastructure platform built for speed, scale, and reliability, enabling organizations to run fast, resilient applications across the internet. The company provides object storage and global content delivery that help teams build and operate data-intensive products without performance trade-offs. Designed for efficiency at every layer, DBByte simplifies how data is stored, served, and scaled, reducing infrastructure complexity for engineering teams. As DBByte grows, it offers opportunities to work on high-impact systems that support demanding, real-world workloads.
Role Description The Software Application Engineer at DBByte is a full-time, remote role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining application-level features across our data infrastructure platform. In this position, the engineer collaborates with product and infrastructure teams to build performant services, integrate APIs, and optimize data flows for object storage and content delivery. Day-to-day work includes writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, debugging complex issues in distributed systems, and improving application reliability and scalability. The engineer also contributes to technical documentation, participates in architecture discussions, and helps refine best practices for performance, security, and observability. This role involves continuous learning and experimentation to keep the platform efficient and developer-friendly.
