Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Kharagpur. The Sales Manager will oversee branch-level sales activities, drive customer acquisition, and ensure achievement of sales targets for retail banking products such as deposits, loans, and cross-selling of value-added services. The role includes planning and executing local sales campaigns, building and maintaining relationships with customers, and identifying opportunities to expand business within the region. The Sales Manager will lead and coach a sales team, monitor performance, ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines, and coordinate closely with branch operations to deliver a seamless customer experience. Regular market analysis, competitor tracking, and reporting of sales performance to senior management are key components of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Candidates should possess strong sales and business development skills, including target achievement, pipeline management, and customer acquisition.
Candidates should possess relationship management and customer service skills to engage diverse customer segments, build trust, and ensure high service standards.
Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance monitoring, and motivation of sales staff.
Candidates should possess analytical and planning skills, such as market analysis, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Relevant experience in retail banking, financial services, or field sales, preferably in semi-urban or rural markets, is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related discipline is preferred; a postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
Working knowledge of local markets in and around Kharagpur and familiarity with banking products, regulatory norms, and compliance requirements are beneficial.
Ability to work on-site, travel locally as needed
