Role Description The Vice President Information Technology is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution across the organization. This position oversees IT operations, infrastructure, applications, security, and data management, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing IT teams, prioritizing projects, managing budgets, and collaborating with executive leadership to support organizational goals. The VP will define and refine IT strategy, establish governance and standards, drive technology modernization initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The role also involves vendor management, risk management, performance monitoring, and fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT function.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology, including enterprise systems, infrastructure, security, and data management.
Demonstrated IT Management experience leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and overseeing complex technology environments.
Proven ability to develop and execute IT Strategy aligned with business goals and long-term organizational priorities.
Expertise in Project Management and Strategic Planning to deliver initiatives on time and within scope while managing dependencies and risks.
Experience in remote leadership, including building and mentoring distributed teams and promoting inclusive collaboration.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Background in vendor and contract management, including evaluation, selection, and performance oversight of technology partners.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are beneficial.
Track record of driving digital transformation, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
