Role Description The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a full-time remote role responsible for setting and executing the organization’s overall information technology vision and strategy. On a day-to-day basis, the CIO leads IT operations, oversees infrastructure, application platforms, and security, and ensures reliable and efficient delivery of technology services. The role includes managing IT teams, establishing governance frameworks, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals and budgets. The CIO partners with executive leadership to drive digital transformation, optimize business processes, and implement systems that improve performance, compliance, and risk management. This position also involves vendor management, technology roadmap development, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT function.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Technology and IT Operations, with experience overseeing infrastructure, applications, and security.
Demonstrated IT Management and leadership capabilities, including building, mentoring, and directing diverse technical teams.
Proven expertise in IT Strategy and Business Process optimization, aligning technology investments with organizational objectives.
Advanced skills in technology governance, risk management, and compliance, particularly in complex or regulated environments.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional setting.
Track record of leading digital transformation initiatives and managing enterprise-scale projects and budgets.
Relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or CIO-level certifications are beneficial.
Experience with cloud technologies, data analytics, cybersecurity frameworks, and modern enterprise platforms is highly advantageous.
