About the Opportunity:
The HSE & QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST is responsible for leading and managing health, safety, environmental, and quality programs to maintain compliance with relevant legislation and standards. This role impacts the organization by developing systems and processes that reduce risks, support continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to quality and safety requirements across all business functions.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary HSE representative ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
Implement and improve HSE systems and programs.
Conduct internal audits, inspections, investigations, and incident reporting.
Maintain accurate employee records in the HSE system.
Collaborate with business functions to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
Manage personal protective equipment inventory and maintain compliance systems.
Support transition initiatives from COR certification to ISO standards.
Lead development, implementation, auditing, and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
Assist with audit planning and follow-up on QMS activities.
Plan and implement projects to meet quality objectives.
Interface between quality and process owners.
Track corrective actions for audit nonconformances.
Create and maintain quality documentation.
Support special projects and operational initiatives to enhance safety and compliance.
Prepare reports and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Improve documentation processes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of related HSE or QMS experience.
Certified COR/ISO 45001 Internal Auditor preferred.
Quality-focused and service-oriented team player.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Willingness to learn in a diverse environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively to resolve issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
