Role Description The Vice President Operations at Modern Beauty is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational performance across product development, manufacturing, and supply chain activities. This role leads operational strategy, sets performance metrics, and ensures processes are optimized for quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Vice President Operations collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders in R&D, quality, finance, sales, and customer service to align operations with business objectives and growth targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgets and P&L for operational functions, driving continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing project portfolios, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of products to customers. The role also includes building and mentoring a high-performing operations team, implementing best practices, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis.
Qualifications
Strong Operations Management experience, including leadership of manufacturing, supply chain, and process optimization activities.
Proven P&L Management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and support revenue and margin goals.
Customer Service focus, demonstrating commitment to service excellence, on-time delivery, and effective issue resolution.
Strategic Planning capabilities, including setting operational strategy, defining KPIs, and aligning operations with business objectives.
Project Management skills for leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, including timelines, resources, and risk mitigation.
Experience in cosmetics, personal care, or related consumer products manufacturing is highly beneficial.
Track record of leading and developing diverse teams, with inclusive and collaborative leadership behaviors.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in using data and metrics to drive improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing distributed teams and collaborating across time zones.
