About the Company
About the companyOur client is a fast-growing, venture-backed NYC startup building the all-in-one platform for live-experience businesses. Nightlife venues, festivals, hospitality groups and event organizers run ticketing, reservations, table management, door operations, payments, POS integrations, CRM and marketing on one system — and guests book through its consumer apps.
Growth: several-fold year-over-year revenue growth, and profitable before raising institutional capital
Customers: some of the best-known hospitality groups, resorts and music festivals in the US
Backing: top-tier investors plus founders and executives from well-known consumer and marketplace companies
What's next: a new consumer app, AI-powered features, new middleware products and international expansion
We're bringing more of our engineering in-house, so the engineers who join now will shape how our mobile products are built for years.
About the Role
The roleAs a Senior iOS Engineer, you'll own our native iOS apps — the consumer app guests use to discover nights out and book tables and tickets, and the staff apps that run the door at some of the busiest venues in the country. You'll work closely with our backend, web and Android engineers and with customers, so you'll see your work go live on Friday and Saturday nights.
Responsibilities
What you'll own: Build and ship features in our native Swift/UIKit consumer app, from discovery and booking to checkout and tickets
Own the door-staff and iPad apps: guest check-in, ticket scanning, table and floor workflows, and receipt printing
Build and evolve our App Clip for fast, no-install booking and payment
Integrate payments (Stripe), maps (Google Maps/Places), push notifications and Firebase Remote Config
Help build the next-generation consumer app and bring AI-powered features to it
Make apps fast and reliable under live-event load, including offline and low-connectivity states at the door
Work with backend engineers on REST and Socket.IO APIs for real-time updates
Own release quality: testing, crash monitoring (Crashlytics, Sentry), CI/CD with Codemagic and TestFlight/Firebase distribution

5+ years of professional iOS development, including 2+ years at a senior level on apps shipped to the App Store
Required Skills

Experience integrating payments (Stripe or Apple Pay), push notifications and third-party SDKs
Comfort consuming REST APIs and real-time data (WebSockets/Socket.IO)
Experience owning the release cycle: TestFlight, App Store review, crash monitoring and CI/CD
Experience on a multi-product platform, ideally with apps for both consumers and staff/operators
Clear, direct communication and comfort working with clients and non-engineers
