About the Project
We are developing an innovative construction equipment product from concept to production End to End and are looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Design & Product Development Consultant to lead the complete engineering development.
The selected consultant will act as the technical owner, design manager and design validator for the project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete Concept to Production Mechanical Product Development End to End.
Develop machine architecture, mechanisms, assemblies and detailed designs.
Perform and verify first principles engineering calculations.
Design and validate mechanisms, motion systems, structures, power transmission and hydraulics.
Develop robust 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings and BOMs.
Perform FEA, structural, fatigue, modal, buckling and other relevant analysis.
Validate designs for strength, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability and cost.
Review and technically validate designs, calculations and engineering decisions.
Work directly with manufacturers, fabricators, machinists and suppliers.
Support prototype development, testing, failure analysis and design improvement.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an engineer who can design, calculate, review, challenge and validate mechanical systems from idea/concept to Manufacturing, not just create CAD models.
You should have strong engineering fundamentals, excellent mechanism design and calculation skills, and practical understanding of how machines are manufactured, assembled, tested, maintained and operated in the real world.
Experience taking complex mechanical products from concept to production is highly preferred.
Interested candidates should share their profile along with examples of complex machines/products they have personally designed and developed.
