Remote Junior Application Security Analyst (AED 10,000–14,000 per month)

We’re hiring a Remote Junior Application Security Analyst to join our growing technology and cybersecurity team.
As a Junior Application Security Analyst, you’ll help identify potential security weaknesses in web applications, APIs, and software systems. You’ll work closely with experienced security professionals and development teams to support security assessments, review findings, and help ensure applications are designed and maintained securely.
This role is ideal for someone who is interested in both software and cybersecurity. Whether you’re a recent graduate, an aspiring security professional, a junior developer, or someone building practical skills through online courses and personal projects, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and gain hands-on experience.
Previous professional cybersecurity experience is not required. We’re looking for someone with a basic understanding of web technologies, a curious mindset, and a genuine interest in identifying and preventing application security vulnerabilities.
Location: Fully remote — Dubai and UAE-based applicants welcome, subject to employment eligibility.
Compensation: AED 10,000–14,000 per month, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
### What You’ll Do
- Assist with basic security assessments of web applications and APIs
- Help identify common application vulnerabilities and configuration issues
- Support security testing throughout the software development lifecycle
- Review findings related to authentication, authorization, input validation, and data handling
- Assist with documenting vulnerabilities and recommending remediation steps
- Collaborate with developers to help resolve identified security issues
- Learn to use application security testing tools and vulnerability scanners
- Support reviews of application configurations and security controls
- Help maintain application security documentation and assessment reports
- Research emerging vulnerabilities and common web application attack techniques
- Assist with improving secure coding practices and internal security guidelines
### Who You Are
- Interested in starting a career in application security or cybersecurity
- Have a basic understanding of web applications and how they work
- Familiar with fundamental concepts such as HTTP, APIs, authentication, and access controls
- Comfortable with basic networking and operating system concepts
- Interested in learning how to identify and prevent software vulnerabilities
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and motivated to solve technical problems
- Able to communicate findings clearly and collaborate with developers
- Comfortable learning new tools, technologies, and security testing techniques
- Responsible when handling sensitive information and working within authorized testing environments
The following are helpful but not required:
- A degree or qualification in computer science, software engineering, IT, or cybersecurity
- CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, or similar training
- Basic programming knowledge in Python, JavaScript, Java, or another language
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities
- Introductory experience with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or Postman
- Personal projects, cybersecurity labs, CTF participation, or web development experience
- Online courses or independent study focused on application security
No previous professional cybersecurity experience is required. We welcome recent graduates, career changers, junior developers, self-taught candidates, and applicants who have developed relevant skills through training or independent projects.
