Remote Junior Network Security Analyst (AED 9,000–13,000 per month)

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Remote Junior Network Security Analyst to join our growing IT security team.
In this role, you’ll help monitor network activity, identify potential security risks, review alerts, and support the implementation of measures that protect company systems and data. You’ll work alongside experienced IT and cybersecurity professionals while developing practical skills in network defense and security monitoring.
This opportunity is suitable for recent graduates, career changers, and individuals who want to begin a career in cybersecurity. Previous professional cybersecurity experience is not required. Candidates with foundational IT knowledge, online training, home lab experience, or a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
**Location:** Fully remote, with Dubai and UAE-based applicants welcome, subject to employment eligibility.
**Salary:** AED 9,000–13,000 per month, depending on skills and qualifications.

## Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify unusual or potentially malicious activity.
- Assist with reviewing firewall logs, network events, and access records.
- Help investigate basic network security incidents and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of network security controls.
- Assist with identifying network vulnerabilities and documenting potential risks.
- Review firewall rules and access permissions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Help maintain network security documentation, procedures, and incident records.
- Collaborate with IT support and cybersecurity teams to troubleshoot security-related issues.
- Learn and apply best practices for secure network design and protection.
- Stay informed about common network attacks, emerging threats, and security recommendations.
## Candidate Requirements
- Basic understanding of computer networks, IP addressing, DNS, TCP/IP, and common networking protocols.
- Interest in network security, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or other operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow security procedures.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and security practices.
The following are advantageous but not mandatory:
- A diploma or degree in IT, computer science, networking, or cybersecurity.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, or intrusion prevention systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or network monitoring dashboards.
- CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or similar introductory training.
- Experience with networking labs, home lab projects, or online cybersecurity exercises.
**No previous professional cybersecurity experience is required.** Candidates with transferable IT skills, self-study experience, or relevant foundational knowledge are encouraged to apply.
