Weld Engineer

To ensure welding quality and compliance with applicable welding standards through welding process control, weld inspection, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). The candidate should possess CSWIP certification and knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and other applicable welding processes.
Perform weld inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Review and implement Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
Ensure welder qualification and compliance with applicable welding codes and standards.
Conduct or coordinate weld inspections and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
Identify welding defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, lack of fusion, and incomplete penetration.
Prepare and maintain welding inspection reports, NDT reports, and quality documentation.
Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve welding-related quality issues.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce welding defects and rework.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, ISO standards, and applicable welding codes.
Support customer audits, third-party inspections, and quality assessments.

CSWIP certification – preferably CSWIP 3.1 Welding I
nspector.UT ce
rtification – Ultrasonic Testing Level II preferred.Stron
g knowledge of welding processes, welding defects, and inspection techniques.Knowl

ience in sheet metal fabrication and heavy fabrication is preferred.
Job Requirements
Experience in welding quality control and inspection.
Ability to coordinate with production, quality, and customer inspection teams.
Good documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to support production inspections and customer visits.
Experience
3–5 years in welding engineering, weld inspection, and NDT, with CSWIP and UT certification.
