Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Golang and cloud-native backend development to design, develop, and operate scalable cloud services and distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang), Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, NoSQL databases, and event-driven architectures. The role requires end-to-end ownership of backend services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to leverage AI tools and agents across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud services and distributed backend systems.
Own services throughout the entire lifecycle, including architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
Build reliable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
Collaborate with Product, QA, Mobile, and other cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed and cloud-native environments.
Implement event-driven architectures and integrate messaging technologies.
Leverage AI tools and agents to improve development productivity, code quality, testing, debugging, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Follow software engineering best practices for security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and technical excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of professional software development experience; 8 years preferred.
Strong hands-on proficiency in Golang (Go).
Production experience with cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes.
Experience designing and operating distributed systems and scalable backend services.
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous communication.
Experience developing and maintaining APIs for reliable, high-availability systems.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production-support skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AI-native software engineering, including the use of AI tools and agents across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, documentation, and operations.
Knowledge of Kafka, MQTT, or similar messaging technologies.
Experience with React, TypeScript, or modern frontend development is an added advantage.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
