About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
SalesMonk wants senior GTM engineers who build and own outbound across Europe, for a range of
companies and markets. You decide which markets to enter and how to win each one, then own the
pipeline that comes out of them.
This is fractional by design. Europe rewards people who treat it as many markets rather than one:
different languages, different expectations, different rules. The edge is knowing what changes from
one country to the next and still running it all as a single motion. SalesMonk's internal team supports
you along the way.
What you'll own (the 4 pillars)
Win one market before the next: Europe is dozens of markets, and most teams try to take them all
at once. You pick the few worth winning first, build data you can trust in each, and expand only once
they're working.
Build compliance in from the start: GDPR is the baseline, but every country adds its own rules:
cold email that's fine in the UK is heavily restricted in Germany. You choose channels accordingly,
document why you're reaching out and where the data came from, and honor opt-outs immediately.
Speak each market's language: A message that works in one country can fall flat in the next. You
adapt tone, formality, and proof to each market, so outreach reads as if it was written there, not
translated from somewhere else.
Build an engine that travels: Every market needs its own data, channels, and voice, but you don't
start from scratch each time. You build systems that reuse what works, adapt what doesn't, and use
AI to localize at scale, so each new country launches faster than the last.
What we're looking for
You think like a seller and build like an engineer. This role needs three skills that rarely live in the
same senior person, and you need all of them.
GTM judgment: you understand how buying actually differs across Europe: who holds the decision,
how much trust a buyer needs before engaging, and how fast each market moves.
Copywriting: you write outbound that feels local. You know how much formality a market expects,
what counts as credible proof, and when being direct helps or hurts.
Building: you build with privacy designed in: where data comes from, how consent and opt-outs flow,
and how each market's rules are applied are part of the architecture, not an afterthought.
You can point to pipeline you generated, not activity you logged. You're at ease working across
cultures, AI is already part of how you work, and you thrive with high autonomy.
Deep expertise in one industry is as valuable as range across many. Prior fractional, advisory, or
consulting experience is a plus, and so is speaking a European language beyond English.
What you'll need
• 6 to 15 years in outbound, growth, GTM engineering, RevOps, or demand generation, with
significant time selling into European markets.
• A track record of launching outbound in a new European market and expanding into the next once
the first one worked.
• Practical command of GDPR and national outreach rules (legitimate interest assessments, data
source disclosure, opt-out handling), and campaigns that hold up if anyone asks how they were
run.
• You write outbound copy yourself and can point to campaigns in more than one European market
that drove replies and meetings.
• Hands-on experience building multi-source data and outbound systems for Europe yourself,
including at least one stood up from zero with numbers to show for it.
How we work
We measure on qualified opportunities per dollar of total spend (people + tooling), not calls or emails
sent. A new market should start producing real conversations within weeks.
