The selected candidates will design and implement reliable alerting and incident-response workflows, integrate PagerDuty with monitoring and observability platforms, reduce alert noise, and accelerate incident resolution across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain PagerDuty integrations with monitoring tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, New Relic, and Dynatrace.
• Automate PagerDuty onboarding, configuration management, and incident-response workflows using Terraform, PagerDuty APIs, and Rundeck.
• Configure PagerDuty services, escalation policies, on-call schedules, event orchestration, routing rules, and alert grouping.
• Build event-driven automation and auto-remediation workflows across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Integrate PagerDuty with ServiceNow, Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and other ITSM and collaboration platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Create reusable automation scripts, operational runbooks, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with SRE, application, platform, and security teams to establish standardized alerting and on-call practices.
• Implement observability improvements, SLO-based alerting, and AIOps capabilities to improve operational reliability.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with PagerDuty services, integrations, escalation policies, Event Orchestration, Events API v2, and REST APIs.
• Solid experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, or cloud automation.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-payload handling.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, alerting, and SLO-based practices.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of incident management, on-call practices, SRE principles, and AIOps concepts.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
Position-Specific Requirements
• Lead / Principal DevOps Engineer – 10+ Years
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering, including 3+ years of deep PagerDuty ownership at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing incident-management and alerting architecture across multiple teams and environments.
• Ability to define alerting standards, on-call policies, and event-orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with multi-account AWS monitoring, alert aggregation, automation strategy, and auto-remediation.
• Knowledge of AIOps, SLO/SLI adoption, reliability reporting, and post-incident reviews.
• Good to Have
• PagerDuty certifications and AWS certifications.
• Experience with PagerDuty Automation Actions, Runbook Automation, or AIOps.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/EKS monitoring, OpenTelemetry, and containerized workloads.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and incident synchronization.
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments and enterprise consulting projects.
