Role Description The NodeJS Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power PPStack’s learning platforms and digital solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features in NodeJS, optimizing application performance, integrating third-party services, and ensuring security and reliability of backend systems. The role involves collaborating closely with product, front-end, and data teams to deliver robust solutions, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. The NodeJS Developer will also troubleshoot production issues, contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and support documentation of backend architecture and services. This is a full-time remote role.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in NodeJS and JavaScript/TypeScript, including building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with backend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Express, NestJS, Koa) and modular application design.
Hands-on experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end).
Understanding of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and API performance tuning.
Ability to work in an agile environment, collaborate effectively with distributed teams, and communicate clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; EdTech or SaaS experience is a plus.
Curiosity about AI, learning technologies, and building products that enhance education and career outcomes.
